WAND (Walk Around Navigation Device for Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder)
WAND is a group project that was developed for the SIGCHI Student Design Competition 2010 and was selected as one of twelve designs, from ninety-six international submissions, to be featured at the Computer Human Interaction Conference in Atlanta, GA.
WAND presents a device and application that allows caretakers of children with ASD to encourage independent walking by safely prompting their child’s navigation of paths in their neighborhood with security provided by the device’s tracking capacity.
I worked on the concept development, target audience research and product research. I also designed the logo.
